blessed

my heart is overwhelmed by the goodness of my God! the emotions i am feeling are overwhemling. emotions of wonder, awe, repsect; of love, peace and thankfulness. these emotions are so intimate and personal that i dare not put the words into type. those who share this understanding need no further explanation.

Exodus 17:12 When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up--one on one side, one on the other--so that his hands remained steady till sunset.

caution: under construction

isn't it great to know that we have been crafted uniquely by the hands of the Creator of the universe? it's actually pretty overwhelming and humbling. and best yet is that not only did God make us in His image (genesis 1:27) but He is still doing a work in each one of us that have surrendered our lives to the Potter's hands (jeremiah 18:6) and He will continue to work on us until we are completed (philippians 1:6) at the finish line of our race (2 timothy 4:73)

snow flurries and a host of angels

burrrrr! i ran across the block to the library like i do all the time but this time i actually considered running because it's so cold. i have a house full of warm clothes, boots, scarves and coats but i chose to throw on a hoodie and some flats and brave the cold....not my smartest decision lol! a couple of friends have reported seeing some snow flurries and i guess it's time to realize that winter is really here and buck up and locate my gloves.

on sunday pastor jerry mentioned as a side note a story that i had totally forgotten about. but something i pray for frequently
2 Kings 6: 15-18
15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" the servant asked. 16 "Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 17 And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

it is wonderful to know that God is able to send a host of angels to protect us in the battle.

i've got something to say

sometimes it seems that i just have something that i want to say, something that i am sure is important to somebody...maybe.

i spent sunday afternoon with a couple of dear friends...sisters...it has been interesting as i have become closer to them and notice the differences between us. i am the oldest sister with 5 little brothers and 3 little sisters...both of these dear sisters are only children. even now at this stage in our lives the differences are definite and interesting. both of these ladies joined my families big thanksgiving get together. one with her husband and 2 kids and the other, like me is single. i am sure they were both a bit overwhelmed by the hugeness that is the hunt family...oh and 10 people were missing from our family! we had the greatest time playing games and chatting. on the way home my friends daughter said that even though she had just met my family that she already felt like they were more family than some of her extended family...that will melt aunt anje's heart for sure!

see, deep thoughts!

i was doing some bible searching last night and came across a couple of different passages that even though i knew they were there and could have found them if i was looking quite literally popped off the page! they were the perfect words to fill my heart.
